Dental Revisions
A dental revision is a process in which potentially toxic materials and teeth are removed and replaced with biocompatible materials. This may include the removal of mercury fillings, nickel crowns, old metal crowns and bridges, root canal treated teeth, dead/infected teeth, and thorough debridement of cavitation sites. We employ specific protection protocols to protect each patient and to encourage proper healing. Many times, years of dental work are replaced in one visit.

We employ specific protocols that protect the patient as we remove potentially toxic materials and teeth. These protocols serve to stimulate and encourage healing and give a boost to the immune system. Our comfort protocols ensure that you feel relaxed and cared for. These protocols include IV Sedation, IV Vitamin C, platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) grafts, acupressure, a rubber dam to isolate treatment areas, high-speed suction, high-speed air filtration system, supplemental oxygen, digital x-rays, negative ion generator, ozone, warm blankets, neck pillows, organic smoothies, organic coffees, and teas.

Sedation is used to help patients rest through treatment while protective reflexes, blood pressure, heart rhythm, and pulse are monitored throughout care.

Our state of the art hygiene department uses the latest advances in technology and techniques to individually treat each patient. Our hygiene team employs a phase contrast microscope to determine what types of bacteria are present and what treatment approach is best for you. Ozone is also used as a natural approach to eliminate infection-producing bacteria, viruses, and fungi. Our exceptional hygiene team has a combined 130 years of experience.

Materials
Mercury Amalgam Fillings
Drs. Nunnally, Freeman, Owens and Dorsey believe that mercury amalgam fillings should never be used due to the fact that mercury is an extremely poisonous toxin and the mercury leaches continuously from the filling.

Trigeminal Neuralgia
Many patients seek treatment in our office for Trigeminal Neuralgia. We believe that most instances of trigeminal neuralgia pain are due to unrecognized infections in the jawbone. Most often the jawbone infection, referred to in the scientific literature as Neuralgia Inducing Cavitational Osteonercrosis (NICO), is associated with the site of a previously extracted tooth. Our experience has shown that a lower wisdom tooth site is most often the location of the infection, even though the trigeminal neuralgia pain may be in either the upper or lower part of the face. A simple diagnostic test to determine the likely origin of the pain can be performed by gently injecting local anesthetic over the suspected area and then waiting for several minutes to see if the pain diminishes. If the pain subsides following the diagnostic anesthetic test, we can be reasonably certain that the source of the trigeminal neuralgia pain has been identified. A subsequent appointment would be arranged for surgical treatment of the infected area.
